Do the sisters have a say in where they will be missioned?
Yes, through discernment and dialogue with their superiors, keeping in mind our availability to the Congregation.
Do all the sisters go out to other cultures?
As an international missionary Congregation we all leave our country at sometime.
Do all your sisters wear the veil?
The veil is optional but we do ask for reasons why you want to wear it.
Is there an age limit to enter your Congregation?
Because of our Missionary charism, 35 is our age limit, however each person is dealt with on an individual basis.
How long does it take to complete your formation program?
The formation program, from first discernment, to first vows can take about 4 1/2 years.
What are some of the fun things in a sister’s life?
Sharing who we are, our life story, our mission story our spirituality with one another. Reading, computer, swimming, bicycling, knitting, crocheting, walking and a million other fun things.
How often do you pray together?
According to our Constitutions, during the course of the day, we come in faith to pray in the Eucharistic Presence of the Lord. Morning and evening Office of the Church is celebrated together as far as possible. Our intimacy with the Lord is expressed and deepened in daily personal prayer, in listening and in contemplation. We take time each day in prayer to examine the quality of our relationships with God, with others and with ourselves. We welcome with joy the opportunity of the monthly and annual retreats and in the spirit of faith, we frequently meet Jesus our Savior in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We have no special devotion to Mary, but a relationship with Her. Recognizing the place of Mary in the Church and in our life, each sister chooses the best way to deepen her personal relationship with Mary. These are some of the ways that we strengthen our relationship with Jesus and Mary.
