In trying to live our religious missionary calling in today’s world, Marist Missionary Sisters look to Mary particularly in two scenes in the Scriptures.

• We ponder Mary in the newborn church as she waited with the apostles for the coming of the Holy Spirit. We do this in our preparation for being sent on mission.

• We ponder Mary at Nazareth to view the world and our work in it from her perspective.

We look to Mary also for inspiration on our "way of being at the service of evangelization," a way of humble and discreet service, "without imposing, in the desire that Christ be revealed, while we ourselves remain hidden and as it were unknown in the world, so as not to impede God’s action in those we serve."
